Humble Thoughts

I am obsessed with the bourgeois sense of achievement, I must say, for which I also cannot find any metaphysical grounds. The worst are intellectuals who never reach the stratosphere and don't turn into humble creatures. Knowing means not knowing, forever since Socrates, and - after all - your gifts are given and can be claimed back. I feel no urge to elaborate further. What follows, then, is modesty - and trying to be useful. And one more thing - if you are so clever, after all, why don't you do something for yourself - if on such an ego trip, or for your community and this vale of tears?
