This Mess We're In

In Todorova, there's a quote to the effect the Balkans is a sort of hell paved with the bad intentions of foreign powers. While this is evidently true in case of today's verdicts from the Hague, I am equally appalled by the sheep-like mentality of my fellow citizens and the still continuing manipulations coming from the proverbialy ineffective, in all possible meanings, government.
About the most absurd ones are those that try to get things straight using rationality. You simply don't know where to start after twenty years of different machinations. It reminds one of the Biblical attempt to cup the sea.
Combined with my personal situation, I must say my (I like to think) noble patriotism wavers: today I truly wished I had been born elsewhere.
