No More of These Dreams!

is the conclusion of one of Mark Twain's characters, implying life itself.
Yesterday I complained to a colleague how the whole world and country social drama seems a grotesque dream with lunatics in star roles: think Putin or Kerum, more locally.
I was next corrected: "Crazy people have depth", was his verdict.

For all of you coming over as tourists, here's another simple corrective offered by a different friend: "Who fooled you? You could have gone to Barcelona for the same amount!"

Then, in the evening, I tried relaxing watching the City of God. What a mistake. Some more depravity and misery. The conclusion was written a long time ago by Brecht in the 3 Penny Opera: "And that is all there is to it - the world is poor and man's a shit!"

But it's actually the money issue. It is simply unbelievable how content and constructive an individual becomes once his desires are engaged. Then the road forks: some still see the inequity, others think they deserve.
